Tasmanian Voters Seek Action on Jobs and the Economy

Tasmanian Survey: July 1997

The National Association of Forest Industries

Two weeks ago, the National Association of Forest Industries commissioned leading national pollsters UMR Research Pty Ltd, to survey the public mood in Tasmania. We were particularly keen to get the views of Tasmanians on their forest resource.

The Federal Government will soon make far reaching decisions about Tasmania's forests which will have the potential to severely impact on the Tasmanian economy, jobs and export growth. The results of the survey are undeniable.

Dr Robert Bain
executive director
National Association of Forest Industries
