Celebrate the UN's Year of Forests21 March at the Great Hall, Parliament House, CanberraWhile celebrated every year on 21 March, World Forestry Day is particularly important this year given the United Nations General Assembly has declared 2011 the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests. In conjunction with the Institute of Foresters of Australia (IFA), NAFI hosted a dinner at Parliament House in Canberra to mark World Forestry Day on Monday, 21 March. Almost 300 industry, parliamentary, ambassadorial and government guests attended.
